A woman named Gul Meena killed her 40-year-old husband Muhammad Jan on Wednesday for allegedly raping their daughters in Mirah Surezai area of Peshawar.
According to media reports, the woman surrendered herself over to the police and revealed the abuse the daughters suffered at the hands of her father. She told the police that the man had raped their 14-year-old daughter recently.
Police officials said that the husband was sleeping in the morning when his wife shot him with a pistol. They also said that they have arrested the woman and have shifted her to a women police station, besides collecting evidence from the scene and registering a case against her.
They further said authorities will also conduct medical tests of the couple’s daughters in light of the woman’s statement and will take legal action on the basis of test results.
