LAHORE: At least four people were killed when fire erupted at a leather warehouse near Mochi Gate on Thursday.
According to reports, 22 people, who were working inside the warehouse at the time, received injuries. They were taken to the nearby Mayo Hospital, however, four of them, who were in critical condition, passed away.
According to rescue officials, the victims were labourers who lived on the upper floor of the warehouse.
Initial reports suggested the fire broke out due to a short circuit. The entire warehouse was engulfed in flames that took five fire trucks two hours to quench.
Monetary losses were also reported.
