LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Tuesday reserved its verdict in bail petition submitted by 20 lawyers allegedly involved in the attack on Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
During the hearing, the officials of Shadman police station submitted records in the court.
The petitioner’s counsel said that the arrested lawyers were not present on the incident’s site and police officials had taken them into custody during raids at their offices and residences.
The counsel urged ATC to approve the bail petition of the lawyers upon which the court reserved a verdict which will be announced later.
On Dec 11, the dispute between lawyers and young doctors resulted in a mob attack on PIC in which three patients in critical condition lost their lives.
