KARACHI: A banking court on Friday rejected a request by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for custody of Abdul Ghani Majeed in a reported land encroachment case.

Abdul Ghani Majeed and his father Omni Group Chairman Anwar Majeed are currently in the custody in fake accounts case.

The banking court rejected the anti-graft body’s request, stating that issue did not fall within the purview of the banking court and dismissed the application.
