King Edward bans jeans, necktie, shorts on premises

LAHORE: King Edward Medical University (KEMU) has issued a notification to students through which it banned students from wearing jeans, shorts, neckties, t-shirts (half-sleeves), and chappals/sandals.

According to a notification issued on 29 November from the Office of the Registrar, students have been banned from wearing jeans, shorts, neckties, t-shirts (half-sleeves), and chappals/sandals in the university premises.

It also stated that while visiting the hospital or patients, the students must wear a clean half-sleeves Medical Coat. Defaulters shall not be allowed to enter the ward and classrooms as well, it noted.

“All the teaching staff of KEMU is requested to implement the dress code in letter and spirit with immediate effect”, the notification concluded.
