LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Sunday that five state-of-the-art shelter homes will be built in Lahore as a pilot project where all necessary facilities will be provided to homeless persons and resourceless passengers while the initiative will be expanded across the province.
In a statement, the chief minister said the basic aim of constructing these shelter homes is to provide a place to poor people who come to the provincial metropolitan.
He said in the next phase, this welfare project of shelter homes will also be extended to other cities.
“Following the revolutionary vision of PM Imran Khan, we will change the destiny of people … The welfare of common man is the first priority of PTI. The main objective of establishing shelter home is to provide the facility of spending a night to poor people who visit Lahore,” CM Buzdar said.
He said that two shelter homes will be constructed near the railway station and Data Darbar while the rest will be in other parts of Lahore.
CM Buzdar said his team will remain vigilant for the welfare of public.
TASK FORCE ON PEST CONTROL:
CM Buzdar set up a task force to curb menace of fake and adulterated pesticides.
According to media reports, the task force will work for curbing adulterated and bogus pesticides. Punjab Assembly lawmaker Alamdaar Qureshi will be the chairman of the task force while the notification in this respect has been issued.
