KARACHI: Karachi police on Tuesday decided to form anti-riots force to deal with the protesters who sabotage law and order situation in the metropolis.
According to Additional Inspector General Dr Amir Sheikh, at least 357 personnel are being trained against those who take law in hands during protests and sit-ins.
He said that no officer will be allowed to use weapons except sticks, rubber bullets, shelling and water cannon while they will be having equipments for protection from stones and gas.
The top policeman said that the number of security personnel can be increased in future.
