MUZAFFARABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced an interest free electric bike scheme for students in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), along with a package of welfare initiatives aimed at supporting youth and improving public services.
Speaking during her visit to Muzaffarabad, Maryam said students in AJK would be able to obtain electric bikes through interest-free loans to make commuting to educational institutions easier and more affordable.
She also announced the distribution of laptops to high-achieving students and said additional development and welfare projects would be introduced for the region.
Maryam said the initiatives reflect the Punjab government's commitment to supporting students and strengthening cooperation with the people of AJK.
The relevant authorities are expected to release further details regarding eligibility criteria, the application process and the timeline for implementation.
