COAS arranges Milad on son’s wedding

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa arranged a Mehfil-e-Milad for remembrance of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on Friday in connection with the wedding ceremony of his son Saad Bajwa.

Sources told Pakistan Today that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has planned the wedding event of his son at Army House, Rawalpindi and a Mehfil-e-Milad has been organised in this regard. They said that Milad is one of the main events of the marriage ceremony and the army chief has invited dignitaries, diplomats, peers and custodians of different shrines for the event.

Invitation cards have already been sent to the guests some ten days ago, they added.

According to an invitation, General Bajwa invited guests for “Milad/ Dua-e-Khair” on November 2 (Friday) at 05:40pm.

General Bajwa had earlier organised a Mehfil-e-Milad in November 2016 after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif approved his appointment as COAS. General Bajwa and his family left for Umra afterwards and also visited Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) tomb in Medina Munawara.
