KARACHI: Omni Group Chairman Anwar Majeed’s son Nimar Majeed was released by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday.
“Nimar has been released on court orders,” said an official of the FIA.
He was arrested a day earlier outside the Karachi Registry of the Supreme Court as the court resumed hearing over the money laundering and fake bank accounts case. Nimar is wanted in 11 FIRs and allegedly hid sugar worth Rs11 billion that was taken under guarantee.
