Detailed information about official accommodations used by senior divisional and district administration officials in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) is being collected so the expansive properties can be sold off or used for some other profitable end, a local media outlet reported on Saturday.
The Prime Minister Office had sent a letter requiring the submission of such details.
According to reports, the final decision to auction the properties has not yet been taken.
Sindh and Balochistan are not included in the programme.
Reports further suggest that the data regarding the properties would be sent to an austerity committee led by Dr Ishrat Hussain and decision how to efficiently use the properties would then be taken.
