Eight Chinese engineers are under investigation by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) after they were held with weapons at entry to a coal-fired power plant on Saturday, a local media outlet reported.

According to reports, the engineers also had other gadgets in their bags.

On the other hand, a heavy quantity of illegal weapons were recovered by police from a car close to Gulshan Noor area on Sahiwal Bypass on Sunday.

District police chief Gulam Mubashir Maikan informed media that an intelligence report had pointed to the car and that weapons were hidden within the vehicle.

The notorious weapon dealer Ayyub Khan and his three accomplices were also arrested, Maikan said.
