QUETTA: At least one person was killed while several were injured in a blast that took place in Chaman district of Balochistan province.
According to media reports, the blast occurred at Chaman’s Mall Road area near the under-construction District Police Official (DPO) office on Mall road, police said.

Rescue sources have confirmed that one person was killed while 10 others were injured, including four soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) and a child.
The injured were taken to civil hospital where a man died during treatment. Critically injured persons were moved to Quetta.
The security forces have issued a high alert in the area while the blast site has been cordoned off.
According to the police, it was a remote-controlled bomb that targeted soldiers of FC. It was added that the bomb was fitted on a motorbike and hit a convoy of the FC at the main Mall Road.
DALBANDIN ATTACK:
On Saturday, six people including three foreigners were injured in a suicide blast near a bus carrying employees of Saindak Copper-Gold Project in Dalbandin.
According to Quetta Division Commissioner Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, a suicide bomber detonated explosives near the bus. As a result, three foreigners and three FC personnel were injured in the blast. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Security forces have started an investigation into the incident.
Caretaker Balochistan chief minister Allaudin Marri condemned the attack and has sought a detailed report on the security measures for Chinese engineers.
