GUJRANWALA: Renowned stage actor Akram Udas narrowly escaped in an armed attack on his vehicle here on Saturday. The attackers sped the scene.
Police said that unidentified armed motorcyclists signaled to stop the car of Udas near Mandiala Morr in Gujranwala. However, the artist instead applying breaks , speed up the car to escape.
On seeing the vehicle going out of their hands the culprits opened straight fire, damaging it at various places, fortunately, Akram Udas remained unhurt.
The police took the vehicle into custody and after registering a case unknown assailants have started an investigation.
