KARACHI: Karachi’s water supply may decrease due to a sudden power breakdown rapturing a pipeline at the Dhabeji pumping station in Thatta on Thursday.
Until the repair work on the pipeline is done, various parts of the city will be without water.
Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Managing Director Khalid Sheikh said that the line will be fixed within 24 hours.
Heavy machinery and staff have arrived at the pumping station to take part in the repair work.
According to Sheikh, alternative supply lines are currently providing water to the city.
