Naeem Bukhari apologises for comments on CJP’s photo

ISLAMABAD: Advocate Naeem Bukhari on Wednesday asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar for forgiveness for his remarks on the CJP’s photograph with Pakistan International Airline (PIA) air hostesses, reported a local news channel.

During a case being heard by the CJP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Naeem Bukhari verbally apologised to the country’s top judge for expressing his doubts on the said picture.

Bukhari also recollected the statements he had passed last year in which he had opined that a lawyer never loses a case but it is the petitioner who loses it, saying that he remembered how his comments had a become a full-fledged media debate last year.

The image in question was taken during a Karachi-Islamabad flight where Pakistan International Airline (PIA) air hostesses approached the CJP for a photo. Justice Nisar complied with the request and then the photo had gone viral on social media.

In a response to the advocate’s comments, Justice Nisar had inquired why Bukhari was ‘jealous’.

“You are encroaching on our rights,” the lawyer had replied. The chief justice had then said that “sometimes you cannot say no to daughters.”
