Mufti Qavi could not be indicted in Qandeel murder case

MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi and other co-accused could not be indicted in Qandeel Baloch murder case because the judge was on leave.

The accused were presented before court on Wednesday but since the judge was on leave, the accused could not be indicted and the court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 9.

Social media celebrity Qandeel was allegedly killed by her brother in the name of honour in 2016.

Former Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) member Mufti Qavi was nominated in the case following a petition filed by Qandeel’s father, Azeem, for allegedly inciting her brother to murder her.

Qandeel’s cousin Haq Nawaz was also nominated in the case.
