BADIN: Talking to a conference in the Tando Ghulam Ali Town, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) provincial secretary general Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro claimed that several leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were set to end their party affiliation once the caretaker government is formed, according to a local English daily.
He said, “Once the caretaker government is formed many PPP leaders will part their ways with the party to ensure survival in the political arena.”
Criticising the party, Soomro said the PPP was struggling to compete in the country’s political scene, adding that it had failed to provide any relief to people during the 10-year rule.
He further said that it was employing ugly tactics to deceive people to get votes in the 2018 general elections despite the massive corruption. Soomro said, “PPP has no future in Sindh because of massive corruption by the party leadership.”
The JUI-F leader accused the ruling party in Sindh of playing “dirty politics of loot and plunder”. He also alleged the PPP of rigging in the recent Ghotki by-poll.
Moreover, he accused the PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari of disallowing the sugar cane growers from getting a fair price for their produce.
He complained that the PPP leaders in Sindh stole water from canals and caused woes for the locals. He claimed that his party would defeat the PPP chairman if he contested from Larkana.
