KARACHI: Heavy rainfall with thunder and hailstorm occurred in some parts of Karachi on Monday morning.
Among the areas which received showers are Defence, Clifton, North Karachi, Orangi Town, Saeedabad, North Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Saddar, Saharah-e-Faisal, II Chundrigar, Nazimabad, Lyari, and Malir.
Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast that rainfall is likely to continue for the next 12 hours.
It said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, light snowfall over the hills as well as rain with thunderstorm is expected in lower Sindh, Makran, Kalat, Malakand divisions, upper FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan.
