KARACHI: The Sindh Medical Faculty has failed to announce the results of the annual examination of various disciplines of paramedics despite the lapse of over six months due to poor planning and negligence, it was learned on Wednesday.
The annual examination of various disciplines of paramedics’ batch-2016 was held in March and April 2017 against the actual schedule of December 2016.
The Sindh Medical Faculty has failed to compile the results of paramedical training courses including Operation Theatre Technician, Laboratory Technician, Blood Bank Technician, Dental Surgery, X-ray Technician and Dispensers Training as yet despite the delay of over six months.
The future of all the students enrolled in 40 government and 37 private institutions throughout the Sindh province is at stake due to the delay in annual result announcements.
The admissions for new batches in both government and private sector institutes have already started but unfortunately, the Sindh Medical Faculty has not announced the result of the previous batch.
An administrative officer of the School of Paramedics, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) told PPI that over 7,000 paramedic students of medical schools working across the province are waiting for their results for the last six months.
Sources at the Sindh Medical Faculty told PPI that the annual results would be announced within two days as competent authority has already approved the results.
Sindh Medical Faculty Secretary, Dr Noor Muhammad Shujra was not available for comments.
