MULTAN/LAHORE: One person has been reported dead and six other injured in road accidents in Multan and other parts of  Punjab as smog continues to affect visibility.

A motorway police spokesperson informed that visibility near Lahore-Bahawalpur National Highway fell to 50 metres  and  various sections of the motorway were closed for traffic to avoid any untoward incident.

Meanwhile, several domestic and international flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Saturday were cancelled or delayed due to the prevalent unfavourable weather conditions in different parts of the country.
