ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to increase the minimum wages of its contractual and temporary employees to Rs 15,000.

The increase in workers’ salaries comes as part of the government’s minimum remuneration policy.

“CDA administration wants to improve the lifestyle of its employees and provide them with a better work environment,” said CDA’s administration member Muhammad Yasir Pirzada.

“We are working to create better job conditions through transparent policies, based on merit. CDA employees have access to government houses and medical facilities through these transparent policies,” he added.

Pirzada has directed the concerned departments to prepare a summary of the decision to send to the CDA board soon. Around 2,500 CDA workers will directly benefit from the policy.

Pirzada said that more steps would be taken for the welfare of the CDA employees.
