Police thwarted an alleged attempt to kidnap a woman in an ambulance in Orangi town area of the city.
Police said that it has arrested four alleged kidnappers and seized the ambulance belonging to the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, a charity wing of MQM-Pakistan.
The accused were identified as Zamir, Faraz, Mehmood Alam and Ibrahim. Police said that the accused were taking away a woman in the ambulance and upon being informed, they intercepted the ambulance and recovered the woman.
People of the area said that four people barged into a house and took away the woman. On the other hand the brother of the woman refused to comment. FIR of the incident was registered in Pakistan Bazaar Police Station on the complaint of the woman’s brother-in-law.
