SRINAGAR: An Indian soldier shot himself dead with his service rifle in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district in Indian Occupied Kashmir on Sunday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased was identified as Narendrar, hailing from Bangalore, Karnataka.
This has been the 388th reported case of suicide among Indian troops and police personnel since January 2007.
