An Indian visa has been granted to a seven-year-old child requiring an open heart surgery. Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj announced the grant of visa via a Twitter message after the mother approached the minister, according to Indian media reports.

Nida Shoaib, mother of the ailing child had approached the minister with a visa request last month.
