The security forces have tightened the security of over 300 Imambargahs in Parachinar, headquarters of Kurram Agency to avoid the possibility of any sectarian mishap during Muharram-ul-Haram.
An official of the administration informed that members of the sub-committees of the Imambargahs would be present along with the security forces at all the Imambargahs till the Yum-e-Ashure.
The movement of the vehicular traffic taking goods has also been stopped till Ashura. Pillion riding has been banned and from Muharram 7 to 10 all the routes in the agency will be closed during night.
The law enforcers have put in place barbed wires on all the inter-city routes in Parachinar city and security was further tightened at all the exit and entry points. All the Imambargahs have been equipped with CCTV cameras. The Anjuman-e-Hussainia has directed the people interested to establish Sabeels and Niaz- e-Hussain, enroute Muharram processions for mourners to register their names with the anjuman’s office at Parachinar.
