A rickshaw driver, Riaz, had set himself on fire on Thursday after getting an “unjustified challan” from traffic police in Jhang, according to media reports.
He had set himself on fire in front of the traffic police office at Jhang’s Thana Saddar Chowk.
Riaz was first shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Jhang; however, due to his critical condition, he was shifted to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital. According to hospital officials, his body was burnt by 70 per cent.
