While presiding over a meeting to review the resolution mechanism of the complaints of expatriate Pakistanis at LDA plaza, the Punjab Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Afzaal Bhatti said that the state-of-the-art facilitation desk, established at Lahore Development Authority (LDA) office is providing up to date information about the sale and purchase of the properties and other relevant issues to overseas Pakistanis. DG OPC Javed Iqbal Bukhari, DG LDA Zahid Akhtar Zaman and other relevant officers attended the meeting while certain proposals for the modification of the resolution were also discussed. Afzaal Bhatti said that OPC and LDA are working together to resolve the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis and that the administrations of both institutions monitor the resolution process of the complaints on a monthly basis. Commissioner OPC said that overseas Pakistanis come to the country for a short period of time, so a solution to their problems, in the shortest possible time, is imperative. DG LDA Zahid Akhtar Zaman informed the participants that LDA is providing support to expatriate Pakistanis to resolve their problems and that qualified officers have been deputed to their respective departments to settle the issues of overseas Pakistanis. Certain complaints of overseas Pakistanis came under discussion during the meeting and DG LDA issued necessary directions in this regard.
