KARACHI: A tremendous increase in marine crimes has been seen in Karachi of late with pirates continually looting people travelling by sea.
According to Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum spokesman, suspects usually come from the Korangi Fish Harbour on speed boat and loot people on gun point.
“We captured 25 kg of prawns after a day-long struggle but the pirates took them on gun point,” said one victim.
PFF’s spokesman has requested the higher authorities to take action regarding the matter as early as possible.
