PTI MPA flays KP govt: At last someone speaks about workers’ plight

A PTI legislator Monday revolted against the coalition partners of its own party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and complained about the denial of justice to the workers of the ruling party in employments.

Mahmood Jan, a PTI MPA from a rural constituency of the provincial metropolis of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alleged that their workers in the districts of Dir, Charsadda and Peshawar have been denied justice.

He maintained that in Dir, their coalition partner Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and in Charsadda QWP was ruling while no one was paying heed to the grievances of party workers.

The legislator said that ministers were living luxurious lives and distributing jobs among their near and dear. He accused the provincial government of deviation from the vision of the PTI Chief Imran Khan.

He warned the government against committing injustices with the party workers, saying that if forced he will prefer to tender resignation from the membership of the assembly. After speaking in the house, he in protest staged walkout from the house.

Earlier, Mufti Said Janan of JUI-F accused the government of escaping from debate on the issues faced by the province. He said that the government was even not ready to hear members of the house.

He said that they were fed up of the situation, adding the utility of the MPAs had become less than the district councilors. He alleged that even ministers were also denying due respect to legislators.

The JUI-F legislator also criticized the provincial government for giving no weight to the schemes proposed by the opposition and no funds were provided for them. He was of the view if the government was really democratic then it would have to discuss the 13 point agenda of the requisitioned session in detail.
