LAHORE: The first polio case of 2017 has surfaced from Lodhran in Punjab. The affected child is a four-month-old boy.
Although the child has been immunised four times, he contracted the disease.
Pakistan is the only country where the disease has not been eradicated from despite a large number of anti-polio campaigns taking place frequently across the country.
