KARACHI: Widespread rain across the province added to the woes of railway passengers and delayed the arrival and departure of trains in the metropolis on Sunday.
Railways’ officials informed that the delays were caused due to the rains. Passengers who were stranded in cold weather for hours protested at Cantonment Station Karachi till morning.
Sukkur Express was scheduled to depart at 10 pm on Saturday night left Karachi five hours later.
Railways’ spokesperson blamed rain-water on the tracks for the delay.
