State Bank deputy chief admits Ishaq Dar is ‘an old friend’

Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Saeed Ahmad has admitted that Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar is his “old friend” and “had proposed his name for the coveted position”.

However, he stated that the allegations leveled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan against him were totally baseless. “Imran Khan should tell in which accounts the laundered money was transferred,” he said.

While addressing the nation in a televised speech, Imran Khan showed documented evidences in which the incumbent finance minister had admitted in an affidavit that he has been laundering money through Saeed Ahmad, his childhood friend
