A three-day anti-polio campaign will start from December 14 in Bahawalpur district.
According to Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Shahid Khaleeq over 587,830 children under the age of five would be administered anti-polio vaccines.
A total of 1,298 teams have been constituted for this purpose in the district.
Of these, 1,032 mobile teams will visit door to door, while 147 fixed teams will perform their duties at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Civil Hospital, Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals, basic health units and rural health centers.
As many as, 106 mobile teams will administer polio vaccine at general bus stops, wagon stands, railway station and toll plazas, while 15 teams will perform their duties at markets.
