Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has said that the Kalabagh Dam is a threat to small provinces.
Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that the N-League thinks its vote bank would increase by supporting the Kalabagh Dam, which was its misunderstanding.
“It is surprising that a responsible federal minister has given a statement in favour of Kalabagh Dam. We have no objection to the Kalabagh Dam except its site,” he said.
He said that the PPP had been protesting and staging sit-ins against the Kalabagh Dam. He proposed to construct small dams. Khurshid Shah said that Imran Khan also uttered meaningless words – neither real nor clear. He said that their children had been martyred in Okara, but no arrest had been made.
