Pak should export more products to EU: Wigemark

RAWALPINDI

Ambassador of European Union (EU) Lars Gunnar Wigemark has said that EU, an economic super power in the world, wants to enhance trade relations with Pakistan and appreciates Pakistan stance of giving preference to trade rather than aid.

He said that EU was serious to strengthen trade relations with Pakistan and recently awarded GSP Plus status is a proof of this. Rawalpindi Chamber must extend its single country expos to other European countries and he will support RCCI in this regard.

The ambassador said that Pakistani textile products, kinnow, mango and leather products were liked in EU trade markets and Pakistan should get advantage of GSP Plus status to introduce these products in EU on vast scale. He said that RCCI and EU Embassy in Pakistan need to work together to eliminate all hurdles in way of trade enhancement.
