Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah assured that Moenjo-Daro’s every inch would be protected and preserved at all costs, said a handout issued on Saturday.
He said that the purpose of Sindh Festival at the site of Moenjo-Daro was to draw attention of the whole world to this ancient heritage.
He said, “We were proud that Sindh bore great importance among all other civilizations of the world”.
The people of the province and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for the promotion and protection of this civilization would not refrain from any sacrifice, he added.
People criticising organising the event at the site of Moenjo-Daro were unaware of its importance and benefits, he said.
Shah further said that by conducting this mega event the world will get the message that the land of Sindh and her people were civilized, progressive and believe in brotherhood”.
He reiterated that all protective measures had been taken for organising the event at Moenjo-Daro.
