Two children died in different incidents in the city while the police pursuit of criminals continued with full force in the city.
Per details, a 3 years old boy named Owais drowned in a sewage drain in the area of Umer Town, Nishtar Colony.
The report said that Owais was playing outside his house when he fell in the sewage drain and died. Locals called rescue teams and the police but they failed to reach the spot in time.
Afterwards locals protested and said that they had complained many times to the authorities concerned to take notice of the open sewerage drain but to no avail.
In another incident, a speeding truck hit a 12-year-old boy to death at Multan Road.
Meanwhile, a robbery incident occurred at a house at Punjab Society, Factory Area. According to details, three robbers forcibly entered the mentioned house, took the family hostage and robbed thousands of rupees in cash, mobile phones and motorbike from the owners.
In a separate incident, police arrested two criminals named Sarfaraz and Ijaz, who were involved in motorbike lifting, from the area of South Cant, and recovered 3 motorbikes and weapons from their possession.
