SAFMA condemns death plot against Hamid Mir

South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) and Media Commission-Pakistan on Monday expressed concern at an attempt on the life of senior journalist and anchor Hamid Mir. “Mir has been reporting receiving threats time and again. But placing of a bag with explosives under his car means no serious measures have been taken to ensure his security,” said SAFMA Secretary General Imtiaz Alam, SAFMA Pakistan President Nusrat Javeed and MC-P President M Ziauddin in a joint statement.
