Inquiry report on illegal supply of electricity shelved

Inquiry report on embezzlement of million of rupees through illegal supply of electricity to factories in tribal areas and FATA has been shelved.

Federal government had constituted an inquiry committee under Parvez Akhtar Shah S.E PESCO circle to hold inquiry against 40 officers of TESCO for their alleged involvement in supplying electricity illegally to the factories located in different areas of Khyber Agency.

Shah had sent inquiry report to Federal government and Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa whereby 40 officers of TESCO were identified to have been found involved in the scam. Most of them had fled to other countries. Inquiry was taken against these 40 officers but no action was taken against the owners of factories which were supplied electricity illegally.
