The Foreign Office on Tuesday said all the Pakistanis living in Tripoli and other cities of Libya were safe as a battle was going on in the country amid the claims of the rebels to have captured 80 percent area of the capital. FO spokesperson Tahmina Janjua said in a statement that Pakistani embassy in Tripoli was in touch with 2,000 Pakistanis living in the capital.
She added, approximately, 4,000 Pakistanis were living in Libya while Pakistan had evacuated its 800 citizens from the country where rebels were fighting the Gaddafi regime with the NATO’s support.
