Islamabad Police Service Centres deliver thousands of citizen services as district administration expands public facilitation

• Islamabad Police issues more than 21,000 character certificates and 29,000 police verifications this year

• District administration processed hundreds of driving permits, domiciles, and other civic documents in a single week

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has released its performance report for the current year, highlighting the services provided through its Police Service Centres. Meanwhile, the Islamabad District Administration has also shared the weekly performance of its Citizen Facilitation Centre, underscoring its continued efforts to improve public service delivery.

According to Islamabad Police, 12 state-of-the-art Police Service Centres are providing a wide range of services to citizens across the federal capital. These centres are located in F-6, G-9, the Diplomatic Enclave, H-11, Bani Gala, the Chamber of Commerce, Sawan Garden, Khanna, G-14, Gulberg Greens, the DC Office, and through mobile service vans.

The report states that, during the current year, the Police Service Centres issued 21,160 character certificates, conducted 977 vehicle verifications, registered 13,321 tenants, and completed 29,355 general police verifications.

In addition, 6,163 lost document reports were registered at citizens' requests, 727 domestic workers were registered, 5,597 foreign nationals were registered, and 4,911 exit certificates were issued to foreign nationals.

Islamabad Police also announced that the F-6 Police Service Centre has been further upgraded to provide citizens with enhanced services under one roof.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, said that the foremost priority of Islamabad Police is to provide efficient public services and ensure the timely resolution of citizens' complaints. He added that the entire police force remains committed to serving the public around the clock.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad District Administration reported that its Citizen Facilitation Centre continues to provide multiple public services under one roof in a modern, state of the art facility.

According to the administration's weekly performance report, 604 International Driving Permits were issued during the past week, along with 204 character certificates and 859 domicile certificates.

The centre also issued 149 birth certificates and 207 Marriage Registration Certificates (MRCs) and Death Registration Certificates (DRCs). Additionally, 47 surety bond cases were processed, while 156 document attestation cases were completed.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, said that the Citizen Facilitation Centre is committed to providing all essential public services under one roof. He added that citizen feedback received through the complaint box is reviewed and acted upon daily to further improve service delivery, while real time monitoring of the centre's performance ensures transparency and efficiency.

A spokesperson for the district administration said that the air-conditioned, citizen-friendly environment at the facility reflects the administration's commitment to public service, adding that continuous measures are being taken to further enhance the quality and efficiency of services.
