FBR to suspend online tax portal for three days in August
The Federal Board of Revenue will keep its online tax portal, including IRIS services, unavailable nationwide from Aug 8 to Aug 10 for a system upgrade. FBR urges taxpayers to complete urgent filings before the outage.
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that its online tax portal will remain temporarily unavailable across the country from August 8 to August 10 due to a planned system upgrade.
According to the tax authority, the shutdown is necessary to carry out technical improvements aimed at enhancing the performance, security and reliability of its digital services.
During the maintenance period, taxpayers will not be able to access the IRIS portal or use online services linked to tax filing, registration and other electronic transactions.
The FBR advised taxpayers, tax practitioners and businesses to complete any urgent filings or submissions before the scheduled outage to avoid inconvenience.
The authority said the upgraded system is expected to provide a more efficient and secure experience once services resume, adding that the portal will be restored after the maintenance work is completed on August 10.
