10 terrorists killed, three suspects held in Balochistan operations: ISPR
Security forces killed 10 terrorists in operations in Surab and Mastung over the past 48 hours, ISPR said. Two female suicide bombers and their facilitator were also arrested in Mastung.
ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 10 terrorists and arrested two female suicide bombers along with their facilitator during operations in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts over the past 48 hours, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven militants were killed in Surab, while another three were killed in Mastung. The statement said the arrests of the two female suicide bombers and their alleged facilitator were also made in Mastung.
The ISPR said the operations were carried out as part of ongoing action in Balochistan against what it described as the terrorist nexus of India-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan and Fitna-al-Khawarij. It said the objective was to eliminate the remaining militants and those facilitating them in the province.
The state uses the term Fitna-al-Khawarij for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while Balochistan-based groups have been designated as Fitna-al-Hindustan to underscore Pakistan’s allegation of Indian involvement in terrorism and destabilisation inside the country.
