Three wounded in Khanuzai mine mishap

QUETTA: Three people were critically injured when explosive material used in mining went off accidentally in the Khanuzai area on Saturday, police said.

Police said the blast took place near Panki in Khanuzai as two men were transporting explosives on a motorcycle. The material detonated suddenly, leaving three people wounded.

The injured were identified as Zahoor, Faisal and Mohammad Afzal. According to police, they were first taken to a nearby health facility for initial treatment.

Due to the seriousness of their injuries, the three were later shifted to Quetta for further medical care. Police said an investigation had been launched to establish the exact circumstances of the explosion.
