Restaurant owner killed in shooting on Quetta’s Kuchlak Bypass
Mohammad Hashim Noorzai, owner of Kabul Jan Restaurant, was shot dead on Quetta’s Kuchlak Bypass, police said. His family and local residents later blocked the National Highway in protest.

QUETTA: The owner of a well-known restaurant in Quetta was shot dead on Saturday when armed attackers opened fire on his vehicle on the Kuchlak Bypass, police said.
Police identified the victim as Mohammad Hashim Noorzai, who owned Kabul Jan Restaurant. According to police, he was travelling from Kuchlak to Quetta when assailants targeted his vehicle and fled after the attack.
His body was taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed he had suffered three bullet wounds — one to the head and two to the arms. Police said the head wound was fatal. After legal formalities were completed, the body was handed over to his heirs.
Police said a case had been registered and an investigation was under way. Following the killing, members of Noorzai’s family and local residents staged a protest at Buleli Customs, placing the body there and blocking the National Highway.
