Grenade attack reported at Wana police station

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Unidentified men on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at the city police station in Wana on Sunday night, police officials said.

According to officials, the attackers threw the grenade at the police station and fled the scene. The explosive hit the boundary wall of the building and detonated outside the premises.

Police said the blast caused no casualties and did not damage the police station. After the explosion, police personnel collected evidence from the site.

District police special branch in-charge Zabih Wazir said an investigation had been launched into the incident. He said authorities were examining different aspects of the attack to identify those involved.
