NDMA issues rain alert for Punjab, KP, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
The NDMA has forecast intermittent rain, thunderstorms, dust storms and strong winds in Punjab, KP, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan from April 12 to 17. It said Sindh and Balochistan are likely to remain hot and dry with a moderate rise in temperatures.

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday issued a weather alert forecasting widespread rain and windstorms across several regions of the country from April 12 to 17.
According to the advisory, intermittent rainfall is expected in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan during the forecast period. The system is likely to bring thunderstorms, dust storms, and strong winds, while isolated areas may also experience hailstorms.
The NDMA said Islamabad and multiple cities of Punjab are expected to be affected, including Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Sialkot, Lahore, Mianwali, and Mandi Bahauddin.
While northern regions are likely to receive rainfall activity, Sindh and Balochistan will mostly remain under hot and dry conditions, with temperatures expected to rise moderately over the coming days.
