Pakistan offers condolences to Ethiopia following deadly floods and landslides

Addis Ababa – Pakistan has expressed its condolences to the government and people of Ethiopia after severe floods and landslides caused significant loss of life and property in the East African nation.

In an official statement on Thursday, the Foreign Office conveyed Pakistan’s sympathies to those affected by the recent natural disasters in Ethiopia. The statement said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected communities and the bereaved families.”

The Foreign Office further noted that Pakistan stands in solidarity with Ethiopia during this difficult time, extending heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and wishing a swift recovery to those injured or displaced by the floods and landslides.

Heavy rainfall in various regions of Ethiopia has triggered floods and landslides, resulting in casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure and homes. The full extent of the devastation is still being assessed by local authorities.

Pakistan’s message of support comes as the international community monitors the situation in Ethiopia and offers assistance to help the country cope with the aftermath of the disaster.
