Fresh details have surfaced about the properties included in the privatization transaction of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), with official documents showing that 11 domestic and international assets are part of the planned sale.
According to the documents, seven properties located overseas and four assets in Pakistan have been included in the airline’s privatization deal as part of the government’s broader restructuring plan.
Overseas PIA properties
Officials say the majority of the assets included in the transaction are located abroad and are valued at around Rs12 billion.
Among them are two properties in India, including offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, together worth more than Rs360 million.
The airline also owns a property in New York valued at approximately $1.935 million.
In Europe, PIA holds three properties in Amsterdam, collectively valued at around 3.435 million euros. Another property owned by the airline in Uzbekistan is estimated to be worth about four billion local soms.

Properties located in Pakistan
Four domestic assets have also been included in the privatization transaction, with their combined value estimated at roughly Rs11.4 billion.
The PIA Peshawar Sales Office building is the most valuable among them, with an estimated worth of Rs5.56 billion.
Other properties include the airline’s building on Mall Road in Rawalpindi valued at Rs2.54 billion, and the PIA sales office in Islamabad’s Blue Area, estimated at Rs2.67 billion.
Meanwhile, PIA’s property in Quetta is valued at approximately Rs915.7 million.

Major hotel assets
In addition to these properties, the airline also owns two prominent international hotels — the Roosevelt Hotel in New York and the Sofitel Paris Le Scribe in Paris.
Both properties are considered major assets in PIA’s global portfolio and have frequently been discussed in relation to the airline’s financial restructuring plans.
The inclusion of these properties highlights the scale of PIA’s asset portfolio as authorities move forward with efforts to privatize the national carrier.
